Great place for hiking......the trail going to the mountain is rather steep, but the views from there make it well worth it! Be aware, this beach can get crowded as well.

Great hike for a morning or afternoon. There is a pretty steep trail going up the mountain. Once you are up there you get rewarded with stunning scenery and landscape. Make sure you hike the plateau as well (Valley loop trail). We had it all...More

Good views for a back to nature person. If the ocean and sand is your thing, you will like this place. It can get very crowded.

One of our best stops on the side of Pacific Coast Highway was the Point Mugu rocks. There weren't many places to park here, but it was free. We didn't go into the state park because of the $12 parking fee since we didn't have...More

Lots of hiking trails, hills, flowers in spring, occasional ponds, growing back well after the fires 2 years ago, go the top of Mt Mugu and sign the register!

We hiked the scenic and overlook trail starting at the campground. The views of the mountains and the ocean are amazing. The hike takes a couple hours and is around 3 miles in total.

The $12 entrance fee is more expensive than I thought considering the size of this beach. It is relatively remote so not as crowded as other popular beaches. Good place for group barbecue with enough parking spaces. You can also play volleyball or soccer on...More

Is there an entrance/camping fee?

Yes, there is an entrance fee and varies during different time of year and of course holidays. Remember, it is a state park. The place can get very crowded depending on holidays. The campground will get full.
