Lovely display of 'stuff' defining life in the early days of CA. Complete with letters from 49ers and followers. Clothes, household items and real shelves from the general store. Lots of great old photos and farm and mine tools and machinery. Staff are very helpful!

We spent well over an hour here enjoying the exhibits. It's a very nice explanation of the history of Mariposa and the local area. We liked the exhibits showing how people lived over a century ago.
