This historic area is nice for a stroll if you're interested in history, or even if you're not all that interested in it. My friends and I enjoyed it and would recommend it, especially if you're not familiar with Monterrey.

It really does not matter where you begin on the Path of History. Be sure you have plenty of time. At least one day is good, more is better!

Lots of history in one area. Very easy access and great to stroll around on a nice day. Makes for great photo ops.

We spent an enjoyable day following the sidewalk markers around old Monterey. Just be aware at this time of year many places are only open on the weekends! But even with that we had a great time!

If you are a history buff, this is a must! You do need to be in good enough physical shape to do a little walking, but there are some really cool things to see.

The reality is that Monterey has a rich history, and what could be better than a nice walk through a beautiful little city with great weather? It costs nothing, you might learn something, and you definitely will get to stretch your legs a bit...

This is a good walking tour of Monterey, if you follow this path and then walk along the water or bike from Fishermans Wharf to Cannery Row you'll have covered most of the actual town of Monterey. Check out PG while in the area too....More

Yes it is a self guiding tour and can be taken at any time. You can do sections of it or all of it depending on how far you wish to walk and how much time you have. We got the map from the museum in the square. You can do... More
