This park is a high for families with kids. The city of Monterey keeps it in great condition. It has a very controlled environment for kids i.e. one way in and out. Great chance to see a steam locomotive close up.

This place is a must see for both kids and adults! Clever slides and climbing equipment that utilize the park itself make this a definite destination if you visit Monterey. Be sure and try the slides that go down the hill!

The park is very big for a playground, but well worth a walk from the touristy areas! Played here for hours!

Our two grandchildren exhausted themselves on the different pieces of equipment. They had a ball! They loved the physical challenges and overall experience.

So bummed that this park was closed. It's usually one of our favorite spots to visit with kids. Not sure when it will reopen but looking forward to going back.

It's under construction. The park is closed today. My son is disappointed. Otherwise should be a fun place to visit after early dinner.

I would like to know if I can bring my small dog on a leash when I visit with my grandchildren?

I am sorry I can't answer this question. I know that there is a "leash" law in effect for the City of Monterey. As to whether you can bring your pet, you need to ask the city.
