I love Morro bay. The rock is awesome. It just...make you feel good. The trails around it are nice, the beach next to it is excellent. Lots of great surfing. All in all, great place to relax!

You need to see Morro Bay at least once - this volcanic rock is amazing. You don't realize the size until you are upon it. It is a bird sanctuary, so you can't climb it, but it's cool to see.

Although it's interesting and nice to look at from your room... it's still just a big ugly rock...LOL.

You have to go to the bay to see the rock. it is beautiful as you can see we saw it at night. These were taken from our restaurant. Most of the restaurants on the bay faces the rock.

Sorry, it is illegal to climb the Rock as it disturbs the birds and their nesting areas. I think someone tried a while back to propose to his girl friend and got arrested. I think some of the parks in the area have hiking... More
