Morro Bay Golf Course is often referred to as “Poor Man’s Pebble Beach” and is a “must play”. The course offers stunning panoramic ocean views from just about every hole. This “player-friendly” 18-hole public course has tree lined fairways and hilly terrain placing a premium on club selection.

Played Morro Bay Golf Course several times this vacation in April - loved it. The course was in great condition and the greens were fast and tricky and all the holes have a great views of the ocean. It's one of a trio of courses managed by SLO, the others being Chalk Mountain GC and Dairy Creek GC. The staff... More

The course is in good shape, set in a beautiful location. Wonderful views of the bay, mud flats and ocean......tough to beat for the price. The course is tight, and holes lie back to back and parallel so may add additional challenges for those who don't hit straight! The greens are tricky, slow and tough to read...local knowledge no doubt... More

we normally stop here in November on our drive down to Palm Springs but were unable to this year. Lucky for us the rains stopped long enough to play in February. This course has great drainage so it is never soggy. The views are fantastic and the course is in excellent shape. Be aware that all the putts will roll... More

This is the bargain of the century, about $25, but another $18 per person for cart rental. The greens are top quality and roll true. Tee boxes need some work, but fairways are fairly nice, and pace of play is good!

My husband and I played here on May 6, a Friday and were quite pleasantly surprised the course was not crowded and we were sent off as a twosome. Since we were playing to celebrate our anniversary, this was a nice perk. My husband is an experienced golfer and I am a beginner. This was my first time playing the... More

We spent a wonderful few hours here today. The course was in great shape and the staff and locals were very welcoming and warm. Some local advice really helped to understand how the greens would run - without that advice scores would have soared. The views are wonderful and the course is challenging but fair. Lots of grades but certainly... More

Fun and quite challenging golf at reasonable price. Have played here many times and always enjoyed the course. The views over the ocean are incredible.

We really liked Morro Bay Golf course. It was in good shape, with some long, challenging holes with lots of slope. The only problem was the slow pace of play, and it would have been helpful to have a marshall on the course. But, the views are amazing and we had plenty of time to enjoy them between holes.

When it's not busy, this is a great course to have a leisurely game of golf and see some spectacular views of the bay. If it's busy, expect lots of waiting on the course.
