Lots of interesting and varied cave formations. Tour guide very informative. A really nice place to visit on a hot summer day, as the cave is a constant 55 degrees!

The Mercer Caverns are a wondeful destination for visitors. You descend about 160 feet on walkways and stairs (440 steps, about hald going down and the rest climbing back out of the cavern. Great geologic formations, many of them named after familiar objects or animals....More

This is a great cave that is tight in some spots but well worth the time to visit and spend some cool time during the summer.

A great guided tour, easy to do, it lasts 45 minutes., 440 steps down and up. The cavern temperature is 55 degrees year round. Beautiful formations and breathtaking color of the same.

call. they are very helpful. they answer their phone. I called before going just to make sure they were open on a holiday. there is a very low hang that you have to squeeze through. hope this helps.

Summer hours have the first tour at 9:30 and the last at 5:00 every day of the week. Winter hours the first tour is 10:30 and the last 4:00. The cost for adults is $16.00.
