We found this visitor center first. While the young lady was quite pleasant and knowledgeable we had to pay for our guide books. Later we found the official visitor center on Main street where everything was free & they had concierge service to find us...More

I found out that there apparently is two Welcome Centers in Napa. One on Main Street and the other one here. I stopped in and quickly found out that it is not like the other Welcome Center at all. The other one is very informative...More

You can check out Chimney Rock Winery off the Silverado Trail. They have a really nice cave tour and very educational. You can bring a picnic lunch and eat just outside the tasting room. You can also check out William Hill... More

Yes, there are many wineries that will welcome you without an appointment although you may have to wait a bit for your tasting if they are busy. The Napa Welcome Center has lots of information that would be helpful for you!
