Just took the tour and wished we had more time. Wonderful collection of original artworks, but was disappointed to learn that some of the firearms collection was stolen, and the rest locked up by the City of Los Angeles. Very nice and Free. Bill Hart was the John Wayne of his day, and the guides were wonderful! Highly recommend.

This is a great little family afternoon getaway place! Animal feeding area, hiking, small museum and a buffalo reserve! We visit regularly with our 7 year old and he loves it!

My wife and I visited this Museum/Ranch this afternoon. It is very nice and FREE. The grounds are well maintained and we felt safe at all times. There is a lovely 10,000 square ft home on the top of the hill with panoramic views of northern Los Angeles county. The main house is filled with memorabilia from William Hart's life.... More

Been wanting to visit William Hart's place forever & finally made it! We went on an "open house" weekend when you can tour his home/museum on you own (not in a group), but with docents in each of the main rooms to point things out and answer questions. We made the mistake of parking below and walking up the hill,... More

If you love historical places as well as museums, this little place is Awesome! Went with my two teens who enjoy both of those topics as I do and we had a blast...not only is the tour fun and interesting (the docent gave cool insight and threw in humorous tidbits), but it's a nice little hike up to the house,... I loved what I learned from this 30 minute guided tour (required; no self tours allowed). If William "Bill" S. Hart were alive today, I would have loved to have been in his circle of friends. Bill was THE silent movie actor of his day! The house was built in the 1920s. There were no TVs yet so he turned... More

No matter what age, you'll enjoy this place. Kids can feed animals as the general gift store sells food. Once done with that, hike up the short trail to see bison as you approach the museum at the top of the hill. Filled with history, it's a nice step back in time with free tours. Best of all, there is... More

Interesting history about a man who was a big star back in the silent movie era. The old homes aren't entirely restored yet but they were still fun to look at. There is a small zoo that is fun especially for kids. Our favorite was the tour of the mansion and the information the docent told us about Mr. Hart.... More

Museum the hill worth the tour, although short. Nice little zoo as well. Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon for a few hours with the kids ! Relaxed atmosphere. Have never seen it too crowded.
