We pride ourselves on making one varietal that is food-friendly and deliciously drinkable upon release. Our story begins in the early 1970's when Ray Duncan befriended winegrower Justin Meyer. The two formed a partnership and co-founded Silver Oak Cellars in 1972 with the bold vision of producing only Cabernet Sauvignon. Come experience the Silver Oak Cellars Napa Valley winery in Oakville, CA to enjoy exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon wine tasting tours.

You can walk- in to attend a tasting or make an appointment for a tour. We have done both on different occasions. Their wine is amazing and we never leave without a bottle or sometimes even a case. It is a very pleasant setting

My first experience at Silver Oak was many years ago right after they had a fire. My tasting was a buddy and I and the host. No one else on the property...fast forward to today...the place was mobbed! They really have built up the tasting area in the past 10 years. When we walked in we were greeted by someone... More

Silver Oak produces amazing wines. We were so excited to visit this winery since we have been enjoying their wine for so many years. We had an extensive tour with Kathy. She was very informative and very sweet. We went through the wine making area and also where the wine barrels are stored. The wine barrels had the most amazing... More

Debbie was an amazing host at Silver Oak. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with her -- learned a lot about wines/winemaking/wine regions/wine history, and more! But, on top of that -- it was really fun! We love the wines at Silver Oak and were not disappointed with the selections that were on the tasting menu.

Admittedly the early opening gave us a reason to stop in at Silver Oak but it wasn't the only reason. We knew the quality of the wines prior to our visit but we were not disappointed after our visit. Since we were early there were few people there so we had the place to ourselves. The tasting involved three vintages... More

Perhaps it was because this was our first stop or maybe because we had a private tour drinking $130 wine or maybe it was because the weather was absolutely beautiful but this was most people's favorite wine/winery. The wine was so incredibly smooth that it was not hard to see why it was so expensive. Our tour guide, while still... More

We tried to stop by on Sat 8-6-16--Napa on a Saturday--what was I thinking? They were closing early this day because of a new wine release. Very friendly staff and on a Saturday it was packkkkked!!!

A popular winery that does not require a reservation. Ergo, expect that it will be busy but worth the added company. Taste both the Alexander Valley as well as the Napa cabs to decide your favorite - here's a hint, they're both good. Be sure to allow time to browse the shop for gifts, wine selections and art

The Silver Oak tasting room in Napa is one place you should be sure to visit during your time there. The wines are simply spectacular and perhaps more importantly the staff (Debbie helped us!) are great. We arrived shortly before closing and while they could have been curt and tried to hurry us out Debbie spent some time with us... More

One of the reasons we visited the San Francisco-Monterey-Big Sur area was to see first hand the fashion in which Silver Oak is crafted (and taste a dram or two). It is my girlfriend's absolute favorite. The drive from San Francisco is colorful, comfortable and inspiring. As we drove the Siverado Trail I was in awe of the quantity of... More
