Cultivated with passion and a singular vision, Opus One produces one ultra-premium Bordeaux blend a year. A collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Opus One arose out of passion. And beginning with the first harvest in 1979, every vintage of Opus One has expressed the vision and passionate spirit of its founders. Our goal is to create a wine of ultimate quality that reflects the traditions and innovations of both founders. Visiting the winery is by appointment only.

A perfect 4 ounces

The wine at Opus One is amazing. In the tasting room you can choose from three different four ounce pours. On the day we were there they were priced at $25, $50 and $65. While... read more

We had a tour inside, walking through the facility. Two glasses for tasting of opus, as just "tasting" so little amount. no matter how you calculate $200 for private tour per person (one guide no matter how large group) is over price. How much can you justify charging ppl? They made $1000 for our group for pretty ordinary walking around... More

The wine at Opus One is amazing. In the tasting room you can choose from three different four ounce pours. On the day we were there they were priced at $25, $50 and $65. While expensive, it is delicious and a great way to taste different vintages. The winery is gorgeous and a site to see. You do need an... More

A must visit when in Napa Valley. Call ahead for a private tour and be prepared for the time of your life. Some of the best wines in the country are made here so stock up and have it shipped home.

From the release of the first vintage, Opus One has been regarded as among the finest red wines from Napa, if not the world. As it should be, a joint venture of Bordeaux's Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. Incredible architecture, incredible wine. Well worth the visit, making a reservation is recommended. A well known critic has awarded the 2013 a... More

Very high end winery. Tastings are very pricey but the wine is worth it. You need to reserve a spot because Opus is very popular. You won't be disappointed in the wine but your wallet will be lighter. Beautiful building and grounds.

So, the building is awesome. The history of this place and the founder is wow. But the price...Hm, we've been to many wineries in Napa valley, in Bordeaux region in France and in Toscana in Italy...unfortunately, the Opus One is not the best, but, however, the most expensive one. It cost 50$ to taste a wine. You know, me and... More

We went here while we were touring around the wine area. It is a very elegant place with nice views from the balcony. there were hardly any people here compared to the hordes at other wineries. I soon figured it out. $45.00 for a glass for tasting. When I sniffed it I thought it was going to be quite dry... More

We looooooooooove Opus, so this is a bias place for us. My fiancé and I have been twice - one time it was raining, we had no reservation, yet we still had an amazing experience. The other time, the weather was perfect, we had a reservation, and we got engaged! :) Make sure to call as far ahead of time... More

I'm so close to Napa. I'm here at least 10 times a year to visit many in the area. Just happened to stop by and bring few friends and relatives but did not make any reservation and I decided to show them around the winery. Just the OUTSIDE, not even going in. Someone from inside, stepped out and telling us,... More
