Cultivated with passion and a singular vision, Opus One produces one ultra-premium Bordeaux blend a year. A collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Opus One arose out of passion. And beginning with the first harvest in 1979, every vintage of Opus One has expressed the vision and passionate spirit of its founders. Our goal is to create a wine of ultimate quality that reflects the traditions and innovations of both founders. Visiting the winery is by appointment only.

I can only comment on the experience as a walk-in patron. We had not originally planned to go to Opus One, but someone local recommended we pass by as "walk-ins" and try a glass of wine. I did not realize this was an option and...More

My husband and I went on an 11:30 Thursday tour. After reading the reviews we were a little apprehensive, but the booking was done a few months back and we were committed to going. First impression was that we were entering a grand but ostentatious...More

We are of course dismayed that you did not enjoy your experience. Confirmations for the Estate Tour do explain that the tour duration is 90 minutes; however, we welcome feedback on what elements of the tour did not meet your expectations. History, viticulture, or production?...More

You do not need to know David Pearson to get a great tour of this great winery, but that helps of course. If in Napa make an appointment to visit. The winery and wine are wonderful, this is a great experience to have in Oakville,...More

Our only disappointment about starting our day at Opus Winery was nothing else compared! Beautiful facility, attentive & informative staff, and the most delicious wine! Can’t wait to go back. 🍷

We tasted and toured the iconic Opus One winery on 10 January. It is state of the art facility which makes world class Bordeaux. And then, of course, there's the wine. A great Bordeaux can be cellared for years. We tasted the current vintage, 2014,...More

Wines are great but expensive as everyone would expect! We didn’t do the tour since we had four people and not everyone drinks (I think is about $120 per person) so we just had the tasting instead. We tried the 2012 and 2014 plus the...More

There's a lot of history that has gone into Opus One winery. Both its founders' influence can be seen inside. No detail is too small. From the reason for the olive trees to the limestone used. If you're a fan of Opus One, the history...More

Stunning architecture from the moment you come up the driveway. This looks like an elegant private home. Very discreetly set so that the vineyards are not immediately visible. Only four guests in Corey's group, and I cannot say enough about this informative and enjoyable tour....More
