Saddleback Cellars, established in 1982, is a small, rustic winery located in the heart of the Napa Valley in the Oakville appellation. Its estate vineyard produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Zinfandel. Known as "The King of Cabernet," legendary winemaker and owner, Nils Venge, has been making stellar Cabernet Sauvignon, along with many other varietals here since its establishment. Saddleback has long made killer Cabs and Zinfandel but variety is our specialty! We like to produce fun wines for fun people, including Pinot Blanc, Albarino, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Syrah, and many more. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to ask about our Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel. Please give us a call and come in for a tasting! Feel free to picnic on tables alongside our Pinot Blanc vineyard, enjoy some good old country music, and experience Napa the way it used to be . Come have fun the Saddleback way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Saddleback Cellars. Of all of our tours this was the one of the most relaxing. We sat outside at a picnic table and enjoyed our tasting right next to the Vineyard that produced the wine. We were sadden that...More

This was our first exposure to Saddleback wines. Wow! The wines were great! Actually unbelievable! The Chardonnay is so crisp and light bodied. It was creamy but not heavy. It was delicious. We bought some!! The Cabernet Sauvignon was sooo smooth. We bought some! The...More

Each trip we look to find the smaller producer that excels. This trip it was Saddleback. Nice low volume selections available only at the vineyard. Price points in the middle and a laid back atmosphere creates a fun stop. We suggest the Zine.

Our driver recommended this to us on a whim. So glad he did! When I imagined Napa, the is what I envisioned. Breathtaking setting and lovely wine. We could've spent all afternoon there relaxing in the vineyard and tasting their wine. Chloe, the winery dog,...More

Yes, the tasting room feels like your cousin's basement or garage. But it is awesome and the wines aren't nearly as marked up as other places. Great experience, highly recommend for a low key tasting experience. Right across from Silver Oak, which is kind of...More

We decided to visit a few boutique wineries while visiting Napa. Saddleback Cellars was fabulous. An intimate western atmosphere surrounded by wine casks. And, by the way, the wine was excellent. I found out I actually do like red zinfandel. Waiting for our wine order...More
