Turnbull produces exceptional quality Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, dirt to bottle, from our 100% estate grown vineyards in Oakville and the Napa Valley. We are known for our small production bottlings, most only available exclusively at the winery.

We are a hidden gem, an authentic and approachable winery experience where you can taste our honest and true wines at their source. We offer private tastings by prior appointment, and gallery tastings open to the public seven days a week.

We believe in the opportunity to pause, explore, and discover something new every day, and for us, wine should be no exception.

Other highlights:

Pairing Garden - Planted with edible produce and flowers that offer perfect pairings with our wines, this is also a great spot to relax with friends in front of the fire and taste wines.

Photography Gallery - Turnbull has one of the largest private black and white photography collections, and twice yearly we curate a show in our Gallery Tasting Room, featuring a plethora of famous artists, including such notables as Berenice Abbott, Ansel Adams, Jock Sturges, Dorothea Lange, Herb Ritts and more.

Established in 1979 at the original estate site where the winery is today, Turnbull has been rooted in the culture and history of the Napa Valley for more than 35 years. We are a small, family-owned, multi-generation business building on a legacy.

The wine was delicious and the landscape was amazing. The only reason it got a 4 instead of a 5 was the service. We had to go find our next tasting and did not learn anything about the vineyard and not much about each wine. The flavor spoke for itself but it was the only tasting where we were left... More

Lovely location, great grounds and garden. They also showcase artists which is always unique. The wines are great and the pours plentiful, but our pourer was not familiar with the wines and when we asked questions he typically said he didn't know.

We visited Turnbull for our engagement and it was wonderful. The private estate tasting experience that followed was a superb experience in an intimate setting. The wine is top notch and the staff is great. Can't wait to go back.

Pretty outdoor tasting area with terrific variety of wines. Our host, Kevin, had only been there a short time yet knew everything about the wines. He paced our tasting experience perfectly. Highly recommend.

Come for the wine tasting and linger for the art. There is a collection of black and white prints from the collection of the owner. It includes Ansel Adams, Ed Weston and many others. The wine is very good while a little pricey. The good news is that the $40 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a single... More

The wine tasting at Turnbull is great with exquisite wines and personalized service. We did two tastings ($40 each). We received generous pours and even had a few additional customized pours based on our preferences. The new tasting room is nice and roomy so you don't feel like you're on top of the other groups. A recommend if looking for... More

I have enjoyed Turnbull cabs for years, but had not visited their winery and was unaware of their recent 2013 ratings bonanza with parker. I don't know how recent their tasting room investment was, but it is a very upscale tasting room with excellent, comfortable open seating with couches around tables - and as other reviewers have noted, lots of... We really enjoyed this airy, modern farm space. The wines were excellent and the people there were knowledgeable and friendly. Reservations not required, but the tasting space is not huge.

We stopped in her as we had a bottle of their wine back home and really enjoyed it. We went in without a reservation and shared a tasting (40.00). The pours were generous and the wines were absolutely the best wines we have experienced in a long time. The tasting was comp'd with a purchase of a bottle. the last... More

Turnbull was a lovely relaxed tasting atmosphere. We wandered around looking at the photographic display and then enjoyed a tasting outside in comfortable chairs in the beautiful October weather. It was great from start to finish!
