We had a very special experience with our first horse ride adventure:-). The guys are very friendly to the children and take very particular care of them. The horses are very well trained and the rides are "designed" for almost every age independently of your horse riding skills and experiences. The path is really unique. You go through the fields... I have stayed here several times when still living in California. They have decent sized camp sites. It's a very long walk to the ocean via sand dunes but a short 10 minute drive gets you on the beautiful sandy beach. My kids have an annual site, fenced with plants, tables & chairs - very cute. And they have nice... More

My daughter was so upset. We stayed 3 days and they were closed. When we rang before arriving told us no need to book, we would be fine.

So very sad! We went here last year for my son's birthday (it was a fantastic trip and we had a blast) & our daughter wanted to do the same thing for her birthday... I am so very disappointed!! The horses were great, don't get me wrong. Last time we went, the trail guide stopped and let us take pictures... More

As part of our family vacation we took our 10 and 12 year old daughters here. The guides were fantastic and really took care to watch my 10 year old who was a bit nervous. The pace is easy and fun, great views and just long enough if your a novice. We have recommended to others and would do this... More

We were a party of six and had an awesome day. Kate, who is a guide at Pacific Dunes could not have been nicer or more encouraging. She matches riders with horse personalities. The beach part of the ride was simply amazing. The guides stopped and took photos of our party with our cameras. The trails through the dunes were... More

After settling on a mini vacation to the Central Coast, our family sat down and decided on what we wanted to see and do. Horseback riding was discussed and after doing an online search for the San Luis Obispo area, a link to Pacific Dunes Ranch's website came up offering rides on the beach! I called them up to see... The guides were great and the ride was beautiful. My friends and I came into town from Fresno just to ride horses on the beach for a unforgettable experience. We had an unbelievably fun ride and the pace was perfect. We rode in single file so it was safe! I myself have rode horses all around then U.S and this... More

My husband and I took the one hour trail whilst visiting the area, he has never ridden before and I have had many English style riding lessons in the past but hadnt rode a horse in a good few years. We had great fun, my husband was especially surprised as he was quite nervous and only agreed to the trail... More
