Took this from Solana Beach to San Diego. Convenient and priced reasonably. Highly recommend! Great scenery on the way, too.

Often when flying from San Diego Airport, I will use the Coaster to go from Oceanside to downtown San Diego. This is a 50 minute ride. On arrival in Santa Fe Station in San Diego, I will walk less than a block and board a city bus (992) that will arrive at the Airport in 10 min. The train is... More

The Coaster is a great way to travel all along the San Diego County Coast. With stops in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas and downtown one can easily explore all the great coastal sights.

Took the train tonight down to the baseball game. Sooo much better than driving and parking. Train was on time and got there in plenty of time! This pic is the view from the train in Carlsbad.

Taking the coaster between Oceanside and San Diego or points along the way is a wonderful and relaxing way to explore the San Diego County coast. From the southern terminus you can catch your cruise ship, explore the harbor, visit downtown or the gaslamp district, catch a trolley inland or south to the border or many other places around San... After living in Oceanside for over a year we thought it was high time we checked out this Coaster thing! OMG! What a great idea. We boarded at one end of the line, Escondido, and road all the way to the Oceanside Transportation Hub. The train stopped many times and in areas we had never seen! The countryside was wonderful... The Coaster ride from Oceanside to downtown San Diego or reverse, is a great day outing. You arrive in the city at a good spot to head out walking. If you are traveling it is close to the airport and train as well, give the freeway a rest and enjoy yourself, just miss commute hours.

the best way to see the city of San Diego and not have to deal with traffic. With a coaster pass you can transfer to the trolley system and go all the way to the border if you wished and the cost is very reasonable

My husband and I use the train a lot when we don't want to drive. The tickets are reasonable, especially for seniors
