Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

We spent part of an afternoon strolling along the waterfront looking at the boats and going up the pier. Seals were everywhere and the sun was shining. What more could you ask for. We met some of the locals and this place puts everyone in a good mood.

Who doesn't like walking on a pier? While the pier is a nice place to hang out and see things, it lacks a few things - good places to eat and do things like other coastal areas in SOCAL that have a pier. The pier does have Ruby's Dinner at the end of it, and the food there is good,... More

Great mid-day stroll on the pier. Enjoyed watching locals fish off the pier and the pelicans perch in hopes of catching lunch.

One of the longest pier we've walked on. It's clean and well maintained. Nice restaurant (Ruby's) at the end with good eats and a view.

The walks on the pier are a must if it is not raining. The people there enjoy the huge pelicans that sit there for handouts.

Great way to spend a relaxing afternoon. My husband & I drove to Oceanside during our day excursion from downtown San Diego. It was nice to experience the beachside in contrast to the hussle, bussel of the downtown scene. Walked the pier & enjoyed seeing a couple of domesticated pelicans being fed by sightseers, fishermen of all ages & the... More

The pier is attracting and costs nothing to go check out. We stayed across Pacific from it and enjoyed the view of it at night. We walked it during the daylight hours. Plenty of interests along the way from watching the surfers, checking out what the fishermen are catching, gazing into the water, etc.. The view of the coastline from... More

I love towns with piers! This is a really nice area.. The Top Gun house is across the street from it and there are swings on the beach beside it! YES swings on the beach - Great photo opt!
