This is great for small kids and toddlers--by 7 or 8, it's too juvenile unless the kids love trains--with the exception of the xmas lights if they still do them which is pretty and fun for even elementary aged kids.

Having a kid's birthday party here is a treat since the guests can take a nice ride around the park in a railroad train. My nephew loves trains and he enjoyed riding the train 4 or 5 times in a row. Wow!

We brought our 2 and 4 year olds here for the Easter egg hunt. It's a lot of fun and plenty to keep them busy. However, every activity costs about $5 so it is NOT cheap. You also need to pay to enter the park...More

One of the activities in this amazing park. The younger set loves it. And it is a popular ride through some of the park.

My young kids and some of my older kids still like riding the train at Irvine Park. It's a nice, easy ride through a tree-canopied part of the park. Try the off-peak time, though, it can get to be a long wait.

A leisurely ride in Irvine Park, the railroad is kid-scaled and takes you on a short 15 minute ride for $5 per "kids" over twelve. Kids under are free.

We took our 2 yr old granddaughter on the Christmas Train for the first time. She loved it. All the lights and things to do as well as ride the train to "The North Pole" was exciting. Santa was very sweet and accommodating to all...More

A friend told me about the Christmas train so I decided to take my great nieces for the evening. The train ride was $12.00 each, then the kids were $5.00 each. The train rides thru live oak trees covered in lights, which are beautiful, but...More

We drove out to Irvine to visit the pumpkin patch this year. It was horrendous to get in to the park and to find parking. We may have arrived at a busy time (11:30am), but the park had been open for a few hours so...More
