Decent meal and wines

I love this place. To be honest, I have only had lunch there. My girlfriends and I come here to celebrate our birthdays and Christmas. The wines, especially the Chardonnay, are delicious. The food is Kosher and delightful. They also have a small gift area which is fun to peruse. Okay, food: the hamburger is great; french fries indescribable! The... More

The tasting staff was fabulous! Met Joe and got to talk about vineyards. I work at a small family owned vineyard so it was fun to talk with someone who thinks outside the box. The self tour was absolutely amazing. I learn thinks about kosher wines. Never knew about them. It was a great experience went home with a amazing... More

We enjoyed our meal and did a wine pairing. Even for lunch I thought it was a bit pricey. For example, with a sandwich, fries are extra. Chicken sandwich- extra for avocado or cheese or any other toppings. Service was good. Wines were fine - we didn't end up bringing any home. Tour was self guided and reading. It was... More

The wines we tasted were pleasant. Nothing jumped out and said, "take me home now!" but you could take any bottle home and enjoy it. It won't make you forget the better wines in; Paso Robles, Napa or Sonoma but if you just want to enjoy a nice winery, with great personnel, then you will enjoy your time at Herzog.... More

We always have a great time at this winery, and enjoy a gourmet meal afterwards at Tierra Sur restaurant. Our wine server Martin , and waiter Jacob are true professionals. The winery and restaurant are kosher, and although we are not Jewish, we enjoy the quality and ambience.

The wine tasting room was buzzing when we got there, but fortunately we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. The basic tasting of 6 wines offered terrific variety and all were well received, along with the notes from the staff on hand. The price was very reasonable, and the amount poured, if all was consumed, was very... More

We drive an hour and a half to go to the restaurant and wine tasting. The food was disappointing, the salad was soggy, the 'wine tasting' was not wines of your choice but a few they put out and there were no substitutions. If you wanted dry or semi and they were doing sweet, it was too bad. The 'tour'... More

This is one of our favorite wine tasting rooms in Ventura county with a wide variety of reasonably priced wines. They are open late, till 9:00 PM, so we went after dinner to try some new wines. There is a restaurant here as well but is very expensive and we have not eaten there.

Great place to gather with friends and the wines are good. The black moscato is really good. Im more of a sweet wine drinker and they have a couple good ones.
