This is one of the best scenic spots in the Monterey area. Lover's Point is a wonderful place to play on the beach or watch for sea otters, birds, and the surf!

Super cute spot to climb along the rocks and watch the waves beat against the jagged coast. The water in one particular area is aquamarine - practically like being in the Caribbean. Was 2 blocks from our hotel, so we stopped by one afternoon. Probably romantic in the evening if you are visiting as a couple.

We had a few hours to kill before heading from Pacific Grove to the Oakland airport and so spent an afternoon at this beautiful park. It has walkways above the beach through beautiful landscaping, protected clean beaches, and the usual assortment of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. It was a very pretty spot and we spent a couple of relaxing hours before the long drive.

If you are staying in or near Monterey, this is a very good place to visit. This is one of the places recommended for seeing sea otters. That is probably a hit and miss proposition. We were there at approximately 5 PM and there was no sign of the otters. But it still worth a visit. You can climb rocks if you are so inclined. And there is a lovely view of the bay. There is also a small beach, particularly good for kids. and ther is plenty of free parking nearby.

We wanted to find a beach where the kids could play and we could be somewhat relaxed about the wave conditions as our kids are fairly young. Because of the shape of the cove the water is quite calm at Lover's Point. There are places to eat right next to the beach, and there is a good grassy area for running around, picnicking and then obviously the beach is a great place to unwind and relax. The kids had lots of fun playing in the rocks and the water, but i will say we did see a few jellyfish in the water, so be mindful of that, and make sure you kids are mindful, and there are some sea lions that came into the cove, fairly close, so it's important to just be mindful of those things.

Lover's Point Park is a very scenic area in Pacific Grove with awesome Monterey Bay Views. There are rocky areas. There is a grassy area with some statues. We enjoyed taking a walk.

Is overnight parking in an rv tolerated here?

There is only parking available on the street but PG police do not tolerate overnight parking in this area. Better to seek another place to park your RV-probably at a hotel nearby would be better. The Lover's Point area area is small and even within walking distance from downtown Pacific Grove.
