Great walking trails with lots of tide pools. Can be windy. Great for watching whales off shore, especially with binoculars. Look for whales far off shore heading south in Fall and close in near shore heading north in the Spring (protecting babies from killer whales...More

Beautiful Pacific Ocean beach - very clean (other than washed-up seaweed). Lots of fun - wood definitely visit, again.

We walked here our first night in Pacific Grove - we were staying a few blocks away on the other side of the golf course. Our purpose was to watch the sunset over the ocean (being from the East we don't get to do that!)....More

Love everything about Pacific Grove. Asilomar State Beach is beautiful for walking and you can wonder off for interesting walks through the quant 1920s neighborhoods too.

The drive from Pacific Grove to the 17 Mike drive Faye is simply spectacular. Rocky coastline, numerous birds, and several parking spots to pull over and enjoy the view.

Like a mini 17 mile drive with beautiful scenery, would recommend you spend a bit of time here away from the shops and restaurants of town.

We stopped here for a little while to enjoy the waves. We caught it as the tide was coming in. It's amazing how fast the tide can rise. Just to stand by the water and hear the waves is rejuvinating for me.

Big beach but can get crowded due to conference center and weekend traffic. Surfers line up when waves are up good entertainment. Worth checking out.

As far as I know fires are not allowed on the "State Beach" (the end closest to the road) however you can have small Webers or hibachis. If you cross the small stream going from the boardwalk to the sea( the county end... More

Yes. We saw several dogs and very few of them were leashed. They were all well behaved and it seems everyone does clean up after them. We saw no "gifts" left behind. :)
