This one is a good work out We did the loop trail and parked behind the target store. It took an hour and a half and it was a two eleven year old with fit dads. Bring a 1.5 liters of water per person to be safe and drink a lot and a little as you go to prevent dehydration.

This trail had the huge advantage of being close to our hotel, so it ticked the box for a place to go for an early morning walk. It is a steep trail and you quickly ascend to enjoy a panoramic view of the villages, resorts and valley floor. It is not picturesque and there are no trees for shade, so... More

trail is challenging.... starts out relatively easy then gradually becomes more difficult (15 mins), followed by a slow, gradual decent... outstanding views of Coachella Valley

This trail has some great features and a few drawbacks. All told it is about a 3 mile round trip with a 1000' elevation change. For proximity & convenience this trail is definitely a 5. For varied terrain it is also a 5. If you hike "the loop", the southeastern ascent is a relatively steep climb with quite a few... More

Due to proximity there are lots of people. Even saw a woman in a bikini and flip-flops on the hike. It is a good hike for beginners.

I was looking for an adventure and an opportunity to get my cardio in for the day. This was the perfect trail. A quick drive from my hotel and very easy to get to the trailhead. It's about 4 miles roundtrip. Beautiful views and friendly hikers. I felt very accomplished after reaching the very top.

We started off on this trail but I knew early that I needed to dress differently. So, after changing into some cooler clothes, we started again. Suggestion: Take water and enjoy the view. It is steep in places, but well worth completing the loop. It took us around 90 minutes to complete the loop. Very popular. I am so glad... More

We misjudged this trail. It starts off easy but gets steeper and steeper quite quickly. I must be honest, it was a hot day and we did not go all the way to the top but we were thrilled with the beautiful views we saw from where we ended up. Nice easy downhill walk.

Very popular and quite challenging but well worth the effort. The Bump and Grind winds up a trail to the top of the mountain rewarding ones effort with spectacular views. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hat and good shoes. People of all ages and abilities do this climb at their own pace. Enjoy the experience.

Two ways to do the loop. Fork to left of the trailhead is steeper and narrower. Was happy we took this way going up a steep narrow path is easier than going down steep/narrow. Trail in great shape. Busy with locals and tourists. Locals very friendly and helpful. Took us about 2 hours at relatively easy pace. Seems there are... More
