There were a vast array of stalls selling everything from food to golf tees. It provided a pleasant pre-dinner stroll and we even got some Christmas presents. There is a fair amount of duplication in the products being sold so its worth shopping around

We have seen shuttle buses but we usually drive ourselves as there is plenty of free parking

Lots of great "motels" with tons of character. You'll get the real feel of Palm Springs at any of them. If you want higher end, the Hyatt is there but I'd try the local ones instead.
