The place to meet new friends is at this old-fashioned street fair with sidewalk performers, musicians, farmer's market, gifts and lots of food.

Quite a few imported crafts seem to have taken over this market - though I refrain from calling them junk. It’s a nice way to spend a couple of hours, but we did not see anything that appealing to buy in the way of crafts....More

This is billed as one of the "not-to-be-missed" events in Palm Springs. I guess that as a European, I am accustomed to better! I last visited the VillageFest four or five years ago and on my most recent visit, saw that little had changed since...More

This is a 'must do' when you are in Palm Springs. Before the Christmas holiday, all of the vendors are in town and you can shop, buy one-off things and eat your way along Palm Canyon Dr. with NO traffic. They block off the traffic...More

A pretty long street fair, you can find just about anything food or craft wise. Entertainment on a couple of the corners. Very well organized, everyone seems relaxed and enjoying themselves. Mix of ages. Only drawback is parking, it fills up fast.

So much to see. Great walking experience from a farmers market to great pieces of art to music and good food. If you are in town on a Thursday don't miss this event

Lots of great "motels" with tons of character. You'll get the real feel of Palm Springs at any of them. If you want higher end, the Hyatt is there but I'd try the local ones instead.
