There are several Canyons here and the Indian Ranger was very helpful in describing options. We did the longer of the two hikes from the Visitor Center, then drove to an additional loop canyon for another lovely walk. This is definitely a do-not-miss venue.

Beautiful and easy hike. Lots of little streams and waterfalls. Again I will use the word EASY because I am not a typical hiker but was recommended to this hike and I think others would enjoy.

We really enjoyed our hikes along the streams of water and beautiful palm trees. There are student, senior and military fees to reduce entrance to the park. Just a few miles south of Palm Springs with plenty of parking. Our day was cool but we still had a little water with us. The trails along the streams are uneven but a... More

Aside from the price ($9.00 per person), the trails are beautiful for a winter hike. Access to trails in the winter when the temperature is between 65-75 degrees is very inviting especially since all trails are exposed to the elements with little to no shade areas. There are picnic areas (with shade available) which are welcomed. I visited in November... More

Challenging hiking trails and an opportunity to commune with nature and walk ancient trails. Many of the trails are challenging and there is the connection with plant and animal life. Though desert, there are small streams, the sounds of trickling water and birds. A great experience but be prepared with water and hiking shoes. The Trading Post has some wonderful... More

Enjoy the Indian Canyons by foot or horse back (best). A great way to spend a lazy afternoon for 2 - 3 hours. Excellent trails for hiking or horse back and enjoy wonderful canyons and desert flora - always a wonderful experience - best in Spring as the desert blooms. Good for any groups: family, business retreat (horse back), friends,... More

Fabulous, beautiful hiking. This was a wonderful place to visit, and not one that we knew much about. We were so glad that we went, and seeing the desert against the oasis was breathtaking.

Hiked here in the Andreas Canyon. Really nice scenic hike. The hike, or walk, is an easy level so, good for taking the kids.

There are mainly 3 canyons: Palm Canyon which is the main attraction is situated at the far end of the road. One mile after the tollgate you will pass the intersection which leads to Andreas Canyon and Murray Canyon. We walked the Palm Canyon trail for a few miles and then turned left and took the Victor Trail back to... More
