It is a beautiful campus with lots of storied buildings. If you go to the psych department you can see the basement where Dr. Philip Zimbardo conducted his 1971 Stanford Prison Experiment. Don't miss the Stanford Book Store and the cafeteria at the Student Union. The place is particularly wonderful during the spring and summer, when student spirits overflow onto... More

Friend and I took our grandsons for a trial weekend of classes. We spent some time driving and walking the campus and going to the bookstore. What an incredible place, beautiful historical buildings surrounded by lots of nature. Would need a lot more time to fully explore. Wish I could be a student here.

We happened to visit the art gallery on a day it was closed so we toured the campus looking up the various sculptures listed on the campus map. The current map was somewhat dated, but we were able to find most of what we were looking for. We especially enjoyed the sculptures crafted by the Papua New Guinea sculptors who... More

Stanford has devolved into a beautifully landscaped campus since the early 70s. Some of the old ugly buildings have been removed and replaced with others that tie into the original architecture.

Stanford is definitely a place to visit. Its architecture is simply amazing. The buildings seem to glow during sunny days. If you get hot, no problem! Just try fountain hopping, a very common tradition between students.

Built in the Spanish style, Stanford has a beautiful campus. The iconic Palm Drive, leading to the Oval and the chapel are a must-see. A visit to the Hoover Tower gives you a great view of the Bay on a clear day. The Cantor museum and the Rodin sculpture garden outside it are fantastic!
