Great spot to hike and observe birds

Nice hiking trails along the water, with plenty of wading birds, ducks and raptors. Low tide is particularly interesting. Great place to take kids.

A small quite place, away from the main action area. This is marsh, but the marsh has been converted into a lovely place of attraction. There are some ducks, swans which will keep you busy. The low flying private jets is an attraction for kids.

I have visited this area often in my life, at first with my children, when we used to feed the ducks( not allowed now)... watch your child... my little guy got so excited he slipped and fell right in... (that was a stinky boy to take home!). Now at an old age I certainly enjoy sitting there and watching all... More

an excellent network of trails invite to bike and hike nearly endlessly longside the (stinky) waters. Some birds to spot and many people will keep you company! clean and calm place though...a nature reserve to visit!

I absolutely love coming here. We recently visited the area for two weeks. We came back three times because it's so calming and beautiful. The area is full of paths surrounding the bay lands where you can walk, bike, run and bird watch. It's a nature lovers paradise. There are a lot of people out for their walks and run... More

Great place to visit just as sun sets for the day. Walking over the board walks looking at the salt marshes, with the bay close by on a warm summer's day, was simply divine. Saw red tailed kites ( I think), gulls, and some didn't know what their bre d was. Parking was easy. You can ride, walk or run... More

There are so many peaceful paths to follow around the badlands between East Palo Alto and Mountain View. I seem never to to tire of walking the paths and visiting with others. The views are magnificent and always changing with the seasons and tides. I must agree with one reviewer about the art. The City of Palo Alto Art Commission... More

If you want to go on a long walk, run, or bike with beautiful views of the bay and constant changing birds and plants, Baylands is a great place to visit. Located right off of 101, it's a nice change of pace from the hectic silicon valley and 101 south bay corridor. Recommended for people of all ages and physical... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-7 mile run on the Baylands trail while spending a few days in Palo Alto. It was scenic & safe. If I had more time, I would have kept going.
