Stopped here for a brief visit, just intending to check out the estate. Turns out their inside tasting room had just reopened after a long hiatus, thanks to new federal regulations for olive farms, so the employee was eager to get started! Our group of four weren't initially excited to swig small cups of olive oil, but once we got... More

As we pulled up to the driveway, a deer brought our attention to the entrance gate as he was out for a stroll. Nice way to feel far from the crowds and crazy that can be tasting in Paso. Lovely grounds, more than friendly staff- didn't get to meet owners (recovering from bike injury) but we met their son breifly... More

Our household uses a good amount of olive oil for dressings, food prep., barbecuing, and cooking. We use several olive oils from WeOlive, Pasolivo (Paso Robles), and Montello (Cambria) but found the Kiler Ridge Olive oils to be best for everyday use and for fresh dressings. The taste of the olives comes through without adulteration. We were able to determine... More

Stopped at Kiler Ridge olive oil ranch to taste locally grown and prepared olive oils. Instead of just tasting oils, we were presented with a food pairing and educational discussion on health benefits of fresh, local oils vs imported ones. I will never buy imported olive oil again once compared to the taste and quality of our local Paso olive... More

We learned a lot about olives and olive tree culture, harvesting and various tastes. We sampled and compared several varieties and came away with an appreciation for high quality olive oil.

On our check out from our hotel, the front desk person gave us a business card for Kiler Ridge. What a find. The front gate opens as you drive up (they need to keep the deer out from eating the olices) and you have a grat view and see the well thought out iron work on the doors and the... More

The son of the owner did a good job with our tasting and it was well worth the five dollars per person they charge. He was informative if a little awkward. He testifies he gets this "geekiness" from his father. His father but the tour and I tend to agree with his sons assessment. Dad was 15 minutes late getting... More

Hi George, thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. It does tend to get a bit hot in July in Paso Robles, so we understand that must have been a bit uncomfortable. We pride ourselves in our educational and technical tour of our farm, and how we make our olive oil with precision and care for details. We do... More
