Tower in Town

Interesting read on the history of the bell tower and the town itself. Easily accessed on Main Street and a good place for a meeting point if a large group should split up.

It's Placerville's main landmark, it's historic, it's photograph-able. They have a farmers market there Wednesdays.

Historic Bell Tower located in the middle of historic Placerville. They have it decorated with hanging flower baskets.

If you come to Placerville you can't miss it. It's not particularly impressive but every Wednesday evening it's the home to a small but nice farmers market. It also comes alive during the events held on Main street. During Brewfest it's made to look like a giant beer mug and it's strung with lights for the holidays. It's cool but... More

We went to the Farmers Market which is held in the Bell Tower area on Wednesdays during the summer. It is on Wednesdays 5 pm till dusk. There were a variety of fruit, vegetable, food, and flower vendors.

Lower end of town and many places to see besides the Bell Tower. Worth your time to stop in Placerville!

The Bell Tower is on Main Street. It is very visible, which makes it a good place to meet up with others in your party if they have different shopping interests. Just a couple of warnings: cars do drive all the way around the base of the Bell Tower, so be careful if you try to walk under it. Also,... More
