I've been traveling to Amador County for many years and have visited most of the wineries there. Deaver Vineyards Winery has consistently excellent wines and has a friendly and inviting tasting room. If I hod to chose only one winery to recommend in Amador county - it would have to be Deaver. There is also a Bed and Breakfast, the... More

I recently had the opportunity to do a bit of wine tasting at Deaver Vineyards and very much enjoyed the experience. Not only did I enjoy the various wines I tested, but, I also appreciated that there was no tasting fee at this winery. As my wife and I were the only people in the tasting room at the time,... More

My husband and our 2 huskies always love coming to Deaver Winery. The wine is wonderful, they have fun and awesome gifts and of course, a beautiful area to have a picnic lunch. A must visit.

We joined their wine club we were so impressed with their wines. Lots of wine gifts available. Woman pouring the wine was very friendly, retired and just enjoys what she is doing.

They specialize in ports. Wow, what a selection. Small tasting room that can get crowded due to the wine and mustards/sauces for sale. Staff was very warm and friendly. Joked and enjoyed what they are doing. No pretentiousness at all.

If you like ports and zins, try their signature zins and enjoy the views. They have a nice gift shop of local products. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great place for a picnic.

Visited here on July 11, 2015. Party of four. Nice mix in tasting flight of white, sparkling, reds, and ports. We also bought a chilled bottle of their Sauvignon Blanc to have with our cheese snacks we brought. Great place to picnic. Very comfortable, restrooms, parking, gift shop, lots of others aces close to taste at too. Will visit again.... More

Our final day of wine tasting in Amador County began with a trip to Deaver Vineyards. The winery and tasting room are in a beautiful location with a pond and picnic benches providing a very tempting setting for a picnic lunch. Of the ten wineries that we visited, Deaver Vineyards and Cooper Vineyards share the top spot in terms of... More

We stopped at Deaver for the first time after many trips to Amador's wineries. We were surprised by the lovely surroundings with a lake and picnic area. Upon entering, we saw an amazing display of merchandise - and I love shopping, so spent some time wandering about. We tasted the wines available that day and purchased a bottle along with... More
