Sacramento Children's Museum's opened our doors in 2011 with a mission is to spark a passion for life-long learning. We are accomplishing our mission by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. The Museum's hands-on environments provide children with a gateway for opening up their minds to developing new abilities, building confidence, and making connections between their dreams and real world experiences.

Small but fun museum for younger kids. They can play there whole day for fun. If old as 5+ maybe feel boring in short time. We have not been there for a while since she is growing up.

This is a great place to take infants/toddlers and kids up to about age 6. Very interactive. Water tables, paint station, grocery store, veterinary hospital, railroad, and more. Great for a rainy day or a hot summer day.

Took my daughter and had an excellent time. There are a lot of things to do and see and little ones are fully entertained. Great for a fun afternoon with a young child!

The museum is great for children under 4. There are enough activities and spaces for free play that toddlers would really enjoy themselves. For children 5+ and parents, it is a little disappointing that the museum does not change or rotate exhibits every once in...More

As many have said already, this venue is quite small. It is segmented into distinct areas including a painting area, water play area(not swimming), wall mounted air tubes, dress-up, to name a few. There is a separate space for 'crawlers'. My grandson was most entertained...More
