A good draw for the community

When they first built it I thought it was huge waste of money, but after seeing handicapped people being able to enjoy the river from the bridge I have definitely changed my mind.

The Sundial bridge is a social center point for the town of Redding and an architectural masterpiece of renowned architect Santiago Calatrava from Spain. It is a great place to start and end walks or jogs along the river. At night it is lit up. During the day you can indeed see the shadow functioning as a Sundial at certain... More

This is a great place and fabulous spot on summer evening. It is quite a spectacular location downtown. You can get good restaurants nearby afterward.

This park in good weather has a lot to do besides the bridge. Yes it is a centerpiece, but there are gardens, hiking trails, biking trails, museums of various sorts etc. If you are short on time, you can cross over the bridge and back in less than 30 min, but if you have the time, it would be easy... It is a nice bridge, but for a sun dial, not so much. it cost $25 million to build, and has some very nice walking trails, and is by the river, but they have no concept on how a sundial works. To work, it must be facing north, it is east to west. making it correct, for just one day... More

Very majestic spanning so white across the river.it was fun to walk across it, people were taking pictures. Across the bridge there were some beautiful flowers.

We walked across the bridge to the gardens and ponds, saw baby geese at the water's edge, view of Lassen peak from the bridge.

Every time I visit Redding, I visit here. It's a beautiful place for a walk and for photography. There are places to sit around the park. Always a lot of people

Lovely walks around this bridge. The bridge itself was great to walk over, and goo views of the river. Popular

Interesting suspension type bridge. Takes you from the Turtle Bay Exploration Museum to the park and botanical gardens. An added bonus a lot of water right now, moving quickly.
