A great city park to hike with children or parents or pets!

We have enjoyed this hike several times. The views of downtown Riverside or distant mountains are splendid.

I was curious about what all the hype was about, so I decided to try it out. While its a nice hike up and down, once up theres just far too many people hanging out and too many unsupervised kids. People playing boom boxes, smoking, etc. Most people on the trails up and down are surprisingly pleasant saying hello to... More

We love walking up Mt. Rubidoux for exercise and the views. Warning...no restrooms and it closes at dusk.

Wasn't sure about this as was by myself and without a car so had to walk from central Riverside. However the reviews were encouraging so went for it. The walk from downtown is a bit worrying as there are quite a few homeless folks around but was certainly worth the effort. Simply walked all the way down 9th street. This... More

This is a really fun, easy, and short hike with great views of Riverside. Not to mention, there is a small castle-like tower, large American Flag, and a beautiful giant cross that are worth a see at the top. The hike is only about 3 miles and has paved pathways. Parking is easy to find at the base of the... More

This is one of Riverside's best places to visit whether a tourist or long time resident like me. The views of the city on clear days (which are more times than not) are phenomenal. The paved 3 to 5 mile road makes it a great hike or bike ride or run. Plus there is also rock climbing spots for bouldering... More

This is a beautiful hike up Mt Rubidoux in downtown Riverside. A must do. It's fairly steep in sections so if you're not in hiking shape just take it slow...it's worth it at the top! The views are spectacular and it's a walk through Riverside history... be sure to research before you hike it makes the experience even more interesting.... More

Mt. Rubidoux's hiking trails are paved and is an easy to moderate hike for beginners. You have 2 options for a paved path to make your way to the cross or flag that is on top. On the way down, we just took the dirt path that is a little more challenging because it can be slippery (esp. if you're... More

Beautiful paved hiking trails up the mountain with magnificent views, benches to rest at, and lovely nature, birds and flowers to appreciate. Many people utilize this space for jogging and hiking for fitness. What a magnificent use of public space for health and fitness. Thank you.
