Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.

One of the things we really wanted to do on our trip to Napa was stomp some grapes. Grgich has the cutest little grape stomp area and you can do it with or without the wine tasting. You can take all the photos you want and at the end, you put your grape stained feet on a T-shirt and take... More

This was our first trip to Napa and we enjoyed visiting Grgich Hills. Our tasting room host was James G. and he was well versed and easy to talk to. He told us about Mike Grgich's wine making history in Napa and led us through their current releases. We left with a bottle of the late harvest wine which was... More

This tour was good, but the wine was average and the tour took very long. For the amount of time spent here, I would go to other wineries that were quicker and allowed you to taste more. The entire tour was walking and tasting as well, so not as enjoyable. I believe they had private sit down tours available, but... More

Dear SV0710, Thank you for your visit and touring with us. We were surprised that you rated the tour too long: we haven’t seen that remark before. Over the years, we have refined the tour to include a bit of our history, our growing practices and winemaking. We taste five wines along the way and we feel this gives a... More

As one of the oldest and one of a few with the most history, we expected more from this winery. We were underwhelmed with the overall experience from their wine as well as the wine tasting experience.

We visited wine country in April 2016. We fell in love with this vineyard. Great wine and people. We left there as wine club members. You must visit

Gustavo, the tour guide, was amazing and super informative of the winery & wines. We toured the winery with him and then had a fabulous wine tasting with cheese & crackers. It was a nice intimate experience I would definitely recommend.

We loved our visit to Grgich Hills. We had Andy during our tasting, and he was phenomenal and very knowledgeable on all of the wines, despite us choosing a few different tastings. He was personable, and the wines were all amazing! We did have to wait about 20 minutes to begin the tasting, but it was completely worth it. We'd... More

Given the limited time I had, there were only a couple of wineries that I wanted to visit in Napa and this was one of them. By far, this was the better tasting with Myles doing an excellent job educating and explaining. My wife, who is typically not much of a wine drinker, had a great time and really loved... More

We just love good service and a great experience, and Ryan provided that! We popped in on a recommendation from another vineyard. The staff accommodated our last minute visit and were so gracious.
