Went to Grgich Hills to taste wine/ learn about wine instead, got lectured and criticized. We had been driving by Grgich and went online and notice that we did not need reservations so we decided to stop by. We had been wine tasting for 3...More

You probably know the Grgich name from the movie "Bottle Shock," where a California chardonnay bested its French competition in a blind testing years ago. Croatian native Miljenko sure knows his wines! Day one in Napa Valley found us traveling Highway 29, scouting out gems...More

A lot of variety but not nearly as much attention is paid to all as is to their cabs, which are divine. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.

We stayed there a little over an hour. Tasting the wines and learning of Mike Grgich history in Bottle Shock ( beating all French wines in blind taste test 20+ years ago !) Hope you enjoy!

Sorry but we are not allowed to sell food as part of our permit. We do offer wine and cheese pairings as part of an educational seminar. Call us at the winery @707-963-2784 for more details.
