The Inglenook legacy began in 1879 when Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel, Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930s, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim. Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and Managing Director and Winemaker Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name, Inglenook.

They always wow us when visiting! Their wines continue to Abarth as their elegance evolves. Their stories are enlightening and educational with an excitement that capture your interest. Everyone there has a gift to bring romance to wine that is spellbinding. A must when visiting Napa.

Nice place, very beautiful and educational. The wine tasting is expensive but the wines are worth it. Lots of movie stuff, Tucker car to private notes of the godfather movie

We went last weekend for my dad and mother in law birthdays for a wine tasting. The winery is spectacular. Dominique the concierge was fabulous and Kenton, the wine educator Amazing. They really know what they are doing, are very professional . I will go back again, amazing wine.

Christmas in California wine country is special. There are some wineries with limited hours but a bit of planning makes it a great time to go because you will Not be in a throng. Our visit to Inglenook took us on a tour through the Chateau and grounds while we sipped a lovely Chardonnay. Then we got to the seated... More

Inglenook came highly recommended for high-end wines. We were immediately impressed by the structure and collection of personal affects. It was surreal to walk around a beautiful, stone building, and imagine someone living there. Part of our experience was tainted by the weather- ended up one of the coldest days in Cali for the year, and roaming a stone building... More

My husband and I have been members of the wine club since our first visit several years ago. We live in the midwest and enjoy wines we normally wouldn't get in our area. We have several favorites from Inglenook. We also appreciate the wine experience when we visit. We have attended dinners, tours, wine and food pairings and the wine... More

This was our first stop in our wine tour and our tour guide recommended this as the one tour we should make. By the end of the tour it was clear why he had recommended this. They take you in the tunnels where they explain how the wine is stored and through different tasting rooms as well as a stop... More

We visited here on our last day in Napa and were greatly disappointed. While the grounds, vineyards and building are amazing, the wines are not. Maybe it was that this was our second stop on our fourth day of tasting, or that our host seemed to hate his job, but we were sorely disappointed. We dumped most of our tastings... More
