When Tony and Herta "H.B." Peju relocated to Rutherford from Los Angeles 32 years ago, they brought with them a vision of building a winery, an unwavering work ethic, and two young daughters who soaked in the couple's entrepreneurial spirit and love for Napa's beautiful farmland. They established Peju Province Winery and dedicated themselves to welcoming guests and to crafting exceptional wines from their organically farmed estate vineyard. Still family owned and operated today, Peju Province Winery has transformed over the past 32 years from a simple grape growing venture into a landmark winery celebrated for elegant, complex, and balanced wines in the classic Bordeaux varieties.

We had had Peju wines back east with friends who had been members of the wine club. My husband was pretty excited to visit and several other friends put it on their shortlist of recommendations for us. The grounds seem beautiful--it was a rainy day in Feb so definitely not the peak time to see it. Once inside we were... More

Tasting fees here are some of the highest, wine was average and pours were small. The staff was kind and knowledgable...but that isn't enough for me. 85 dollar tasting fee is ridiculous, many others with quality wine that's more affordable and just as good

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon tasting some great wines from Peju, they have a great blend for $23 that I highly recommend. They have an in house chef, Alex, and he makes some great bites to pair with the wine, and if you call ahead you can setup a full wine and food pairing.

Nice winery, some very good wines. Very nice art gallery upstairs. The garden in season I'm sure would be nice as well. The wines matched well

I would suggest making reservations if you are going late in the evening, as I went between 2-3 pm and had to wait around 30 to 40 minutes. The place is beautiful and the wines are fantastic. Our server was very gracious and the wine tasting is a better bang for your back than others. Maybe it was our server... More

We arrived by bicycle and proceeded to the tasting room. The young man who did our tasting was very knowledgeable, and we also enjoyed hearing the family history of this organic winery. We bought some wine but opted to drive & pick it up the next day. The same young man recognized us & brought out our wine before we... More

It's very attractive winery with lots of fine art around. And the garden it's just beautiful. Tasting is too expensive at $35 for 4 of the cheaper wines. Before the price went up, you can taste some very good wines and buy 2 bottles or $100.00 they waived the fee. Now, I think, you buy 6 bottles to waive the... More

Peju is our favorite winery due to its beautiful artwork inside and out, and the flavorful wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2003, 2005, and 2013 reserve are so good. And if you're looking for a cheap tasty drink, Carnival is the one for you.

we stopped at Peju with our friend visiting from England, arriving late morning on a bright January day. Although other groups were visiting, we received personalized attention from an informative, funny host. Peju's premises are modern, with tasting rooms divided up so one never feels crowded. Works of art are placed around the grounds and inside the rooms. We tasted... More
