Another good spot would be the Nimbus Fish hatchery. You can climb to Folsom Lake or go West tward Sacramento nice easy ride and beautiful. Ride to Folsom Town and have a snack.

Since the trail runs from Folsom to Sacramento, I believe it is still the same trail.
