A great place to visit, but you will need to plan your visit as access is only at the designated tour times. The mansion is also used for events and would be a great place for a wedding.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and tour. Be forewarned you aren't allowed to take photos or touch anything, Not recommended for children under 10. Our 10 year olds were bored to tears.

Leland Stafford's house was totally redone in order to replicate exactly what the original structure looked like. Black and white photos and written documentation was sent to the weavers so they could get an exact match of the carpet, for example. There is perfect detailing...More

I was just killing some time on a Sunday and luckily I walked in right as a tour was just getting started. Folks this is a FREE tour but it shows like an expensive one. I highly recommend.
