We fly through SFO on an almost weekly basis, and sometimes have longer connections. This was one of those flights, and as we had seen the “Games of Chance” display in the West Pier at T3, decided to finally explore the SFO Museum. We are glad that we did. There is a lot of history in both the airport, and... More

Since the hotel we were staying at had a shuttle to the airport we used it to go to the SFO Museum that is in the International Terminal . There are various parts of the museum spread throughout the airport. We spent our time in the Flight Attendants Uniform display. It was such fun to see and worth the trip.... More

When we were at the San Francisco international terminal, we went to see the new exhibits at the SFO Museum. This time the two were: 1) A Modern Approach - It was an exhibit of mid-century design. 2) From Print to Plate - This was where they take city prints such as Japanese and Indian cities and apply the print... This was a nice surprise, we wandered in and found the fashion in flight exhibit. It was a nice trip down memory lane. Very well done. It's a shame we don't have more pride in how we look these days.

This is a nice little jewel. Definitely worth a 20 minute excursion, for a lay over, delayed flight,...early arrival , get steps in. Nice quiet area in the library upstairs.

We enjoyed seeing the SFO Museum at the International Terminal at the airport. Its in the hallways of the terminals and is a good way to spend some time when waiting for a flight. The exhibit this time (July 2016) was on The Allure of Art Nouveau. They change the exhibit periodically. There were many beautiful items to see. There... More

We were waiting for a flight so spent some time looking at the exhibits at the Aviation Museum and Library. It is located in the international Terminal at San Francisco Airport. They have exhibits both inside the museum, as well as in the hallways. One of their feature exhibits was Fashion in Flight. It was a display of international flight... More

Not worth a special trip to the airport for, but if you are killing time waiting for a flight, it's pretty good. Some interesting exhibits about flying through history: sea planes of the 40's, designer flight attendant uniforms. Plus there is a quit library upstairs and the wifi works. You can charge your device. Closes at 4:30 in the international... More

The art museum at SFO is a great place to spend time when your travel plans have been disrupted, but I also want to put in a plug for all the other art installations around the terminal. One of my favorites is Deborah Butterfield's "Pohina". The artist is well know for her equestrian sculptures provides with found materials, usually driftwood.... More

My wife and I had some time between flights and we were able to visit the museum on a recent trip. I'd been through SFO more times than I can count and had never had the time to stop by. Lots of exhibits and great information on the history and development of air travel. Great displays include info on the... More
