There's a reason why some of the best surfers come to this beach: the waves are always great year-round, the beach is well-maintained and there are fewer tourists roaming around. The lower trestles area is my go-to spot next the wedge in Newport.

I grew up at this beach...Every weekend throughout every summer, we camped here, fished here, body surfed. It was always clean, great place for families to visit and go camping for a summer holiday.

At the surfing beach, dogs are permitted on leashes in the parking area only and not on the beach. Cars are parked right on the dirt road lining the sand and most tie their dogs to their cars and it's fine. At the southern... More

The website says it takes rigs that are up to 40 feet in some of the sites so that would indicate yes. Parking your tow vehicle, based on my experience, may be problematic.
