It is good to know that you can still stop and smell the roses in December. The layout of this place is not particularly imaginitive, and I would like to see more scented rosesMore

The Garden was designed by the famed architect John McLaren, who also designed golden gate park. It opened in 1937. Roses are like perfume on women, they need heat to activate the scent! In December, it is much to cold for the oils in the...More

Perfect spot for photo-shoots especially during Spring to early summer. A beautiful fountain, hundreds of colorful roses and benches to sit and read. A nice area to walk around. If you love roses, this is a must see. Bring your camera!

I love this rose garden - enough to be married at the beautiful fountain. I visit the garden regularly to see the never ending acres of roses - in just about every color available. What’s lacking though is scent. I have smelled every rose bush...More

We have so many rose beds that have varieties that are known to be very fragrant, As you walk through the garden, look for roses that have an F on their signs. This denotes that the rose is very frangrant. In addition, our maps also...More

Nice peaceful spot to visit. Lots of different varieties of rose on display. Interesting to see all of the different colours and shapes and to smell their perfume. Well maintained and clean.

The rose garden is a great place to visit year round. The flowers bloom in the spring, but it’s still pretty in the Fall and Winter.

This is a beautiful place to stroll in the middle of a neighborhood - but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive far to get here. Many of San Jose Unified High Schools used this park for graduation ceremonies.

With over 4,000 roses, it is quite the destination, a place to visit when in San Jose. Would November is the end of the season, with winter approaching, there area still many rose beds in bloom. The tranquility is worth the visit.

We went three weeks ago and it was still gorgeous. I'd think you'd still be able to see lovely blooms now.

There are some. Not as robust as May and June. There will be limit d blooms until December, the roses are trimmed for the winter in early January. Mother's day in May is the hight and spectacular.

No way!!! The park has been open for 80 years without a fee. I might suggest you pick up lunch at the Park Station Hashery right around the corner have have a picnic!
