Not sure what we expected but were pleasantly surprised with the history and the stunning examples of roses. We saw plants which dated back to 1820 and earlier. As noted on the grounds, many of the plants were collected from un-kept Victorian cemeteries and abandoned...More

Heritage Rose Garden offers many heirloom roses, some of which are rare. Because they are heirloom, the fragrance in the garden is spectacular.

We loved this rose garden -- great variety of roses, in many different colors and varieties. It's a nice place to be with a friend, but also a good place by yourself. It's serene and pretty and a nice ittle get-away from urban/suburban life.

It's actually a terrific place to walk, near the Guadalupe river, with beautiful roses to see. It's pleasant, quiet, not busy, easy to get to, near the airport if you don't have much time between flights.
