Do not miss the opportunity to explore Montana de Oro about 15 minutes drive west of San Luis Obispo on Los Osos Valley Road. The awesome shore line rising dramatically to a series of cliffs line Bluff Trail. Flat paths run through the state park for about 4 miles and can easily be walked in an hour or so. You'll... More

This park is a real find. The hike is fairly flat and takes you through a beautiful canyon next to a stream.

We hiked on a day when it was raining and still saw lots of deer and evidence of other animals. Scenery was beautiful and just a little bit of up hill and some loose rocks on the trails. Watch out for snakes and possible Mountain Lions!

I've done the islay creek trail over a dozen times. It's about 4 miles long and connects with the Eastern Boundary Trail, The Manzanita Trail, and a few other trails. Watch for snakes! I am a wildlife photographer and I've seen many a snakes on this trail including rattlesnakes. (See the photos) Good for Mountain Bikes, Horses, Jogging or just... More
