Whenever I'm in SLO this is my go to place for tea and sometimes breakfast. Bagels are the typical breakfast dish but their tea is always special. They have a good variety and know how to brew it properly.

A lot of coffee shops invite you to come in for coffee but don't give you much of a reason to stay other than offering a few tables and chairs. This place has tables and chairs, in a very roomy setting, but they also have art being exhibited by local artists. The coffee is great and the art is interesting. They also offer pastries, breakfast burritos and bagels, soups, curries and paninis. The staff is very nice and the service is prompt.

Fresh-roasted free-trade coffee, interesting art in the gallery, convenient location, and the city's best breakfast burrito, made to order.

this place features great coffee and local artists rotating every month, as most venues here do for Art After Dark. come in for a mexican mocha and chill in downtown SLO

Every morning while visiting SLO I walked down to this cafe to get my morning wake up brew. The coffee was perfectly made each time as I have a specific way to order. The staff is very friendly and they also have very appetizing eats there as well which I did not have but hey looked and smelled delish.

This is a very quaint little local spot that has great coffee and pastries as well as some nice art! The staff was very friendly as well as some of the locals that I spoke with. This is a nice place to stop and take in the local feel.

An interesting, kickback place...they sometimes put on plays here. Is a good spot to just chill for an hour or so. Intellectual sort of hangout.

It's a fine little coffee shop and art gallery that attracts locals. Did you know that every other person in San Luis Obispo fancies himself or herself an artist? Well, there's plenty of attitude here and very little talent, but nonetheless those who have a tiny bit of talent may find themselves with a show here.

Best coffee shop in town! Owners are the nicest people you could ever meet, and they're always involved in the community, doing all sorts of good things for others. Great coffee, great food, great place to chill.

The Steynberg is a sweet spot in San Luis Obispo. They have good coffee, healthy and interesting food and a well curated art gallery. The art changes every month and tends to be more edgy than the average art in SLO. They don't stay open late except on the many nights when there are concerts and other performances there.
