Good swings and Train operator

Kids like the mini-train operated. It is on the expensive side (like $3-$4 for 2 laps). The playground is big.

We loved this park. Walking along this inlet from the San Francisco Bay was relaxing. We ate lunch by the water and then rented kayaks and paddled all around. It is bigger than we thought and goes all the way to the bay, which we did not have time to do. Lovely outdoor amphitheater where the local library was holding... More

Central Park has something for everyone. Lots of flat paved walkways to take a stroller or for someone who isn't that mobile. The rose garden is my favorite. There is plenty of shade if you want to meander. You might catch a local little league team playing on the ballfield or hear the squeals of younger children riding a little... More

This is a very nice park. It has a big playground, a real baseball stadium, an incredible Japanese garden, a tiny train ride, tennis courts and lots of picnic areas. Check it out!

If you like to see the green and beautiful flowers during summer, take a walk here and enjoy the summer breeze.

Great rare old trees and Japanese garden - children playground and train for the real young. Don't miss the rose garden when blooming.

Nicely kept park. A gem in the middle of the city. Nice place for lunc in the middle of the day. I like to take my shoes off and put my feet in the grass or have a few friends get together and grab an accustic gutiar and sing and hang out together. Beautiful. A place of refuge and relaxation... This park is in the middle of busy, downtown San Mateo but it is a very peaceful place to relax. There are many nice large lawn areas to hang out or have a picnic. They also have japanese teagardens and a softball field too! Very nice place to hang out or see concerts in the park on friday night!

The Central Park in San Mateo is well kept. There is a huge play area for the kids, tennis courts for the adults, places to walk. Japanese garden. Nice location, but yet very close to the downtown San Mateo shops

Thank mejosp
