the beach has a parking lot and very informative nature guides. Try to see it for at least a short time. The seals always come back to this beach and are quite entertaining. Near Hearst Castle at San Simeon. We did both in one day.

A must see! Hundreds of seals all along the viewing area! No charge- just pull into the parking lot and there they are! Fascinating to watch them spar, vocalize, move about, and just chill! One of the highlights of my trip down the coast!

The annual migration of these amazing mammals at the same beaches of San Simeon and at the same period of the year is definitely a manifestation of nature's wonderful creation.

Definitely worth a visit especially if you are at Hearst Castle. It is a free attraction and only 4 miles from Hearst Castle. There were hundreds of elephant seals across the beach when we were there. They are the cutest!!!

We could spend hours watching the elephant seals, just fascinating. We also had the benefit of some local guides explaining rookery which was an extra bonus.

Yes ground is flat. The only area that may be of concern is the gravel parking area. There a lot of pot holes but if you park close to water front or entrance you should be ok.
