We stopped here this time after by passing it many times in the past. Should have not done that. The tavern is of a bygone era when stage coaches and cowboys would frequent the area. The buildings are just the same with pictures and memorabilia...More

This is literally the same building that was the stage stop so be ready to go back in time. The food is generally great bbq, salads and usually a daily quiche. My favorite is the grilled venison sandwich. Do not try and go here on...More

Was expecting more....nice 20 min drive from SB into the dry dusty hills. Great backstory on the tavern itself and it's previous life as a stagecoach station. Lines of shaded outdoor seating on the roadside in front of the tavern. Parking along the road edge....More

First I want to make a disclaimer. I only gave this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 stars because 5 stars would be perfection. That said, this was the best restaurant during my week long stay in Santa Barbara eating out almost every meal. The...More

This is a TRUE hidden gem, not the ones you go to and wonder why you went, no this is a must visit place. It's a little part of history AND the food is unbelievably good! Highly recommended!
