What a neat little place to visit and what fantastic food! The day we visited on a weekend was pretty busy, and I imagine this place gets many visitors being such a historic little spot. It was not difficult to find parking or a table to eat at (and we ate inside the restaurant). Worth a stop!

We stopped at this tavern while cruising through the mountains. Gorgeous drive, classic old time feel. Great beer selection and quaint and cozy inside. LOVED loved loved this stop. Food was great too!

Always wondered what was under the expansion bridge near Lake Cachuma! The Cold Spring Tavern is a favorite for locals, tourists and bikers! Stop for a drink or the best tri-tip sandwich you ever had! A lot of history as it was a stagecoach stop, there is even an old jail there. If you can make it for dinner, there... More

This is the real thing, rescued for all to enjoy. An original stagecoach stop, parking is now a bit challenging, but there is always space along the road. There are gourmet offering not just the legendary Tri-tip beef, and it is a great place to stop between Santa Barbara and Solvang taking one from Spain to Denmark, and Chumash territories... More

Had a wonderful time experiencing the old west and eating a great beef dip sandwich in the old stagecoach building. The onion rings are heavenly too!!! It was super crowded but we chilled with a beer and enjoyed the area while we waited.

We discovered this place on a jeep tour with Cloud Climbers and we came back the next day to eat lunch. This place is a true gem. Live music, tons of bikers, full bar, restaurant and on site grilling of tri tip for delicious sandwiches! Hard to find, but a true hidden gem.

This is still in full swing and every Sunday is so much fun! The whole atmosphere, history and the people who regularly gather are all such fun. Not to be missed.

After reading the reviews while planning a surprise trip for my mate, this was to be our first stop on the trip for lunch. Well we arrived at 4:00 and they were through with lunch but dinner was to start at 5:00. So we ordered drinks and wandered around. Quite a nice historic place. The wine was local and absolutely... We stopped at Cold Spring Tavern on our way home from Santa Barbara, after reading several reviews. It was only a few minutes out of the way, and therefore worth the stop as I love the old and historic. Unfortunately outside activities closed off some of the area, and parking is limited (roadside parking on a mountain road) so you... More

We stopped here while driving through Los Padres National Forest on our way from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez. Finding the turnoff is a little challenging because there is only one sign to direct you to the historically intact Cold Spring Tavern. It's a trip back in time conjuring visions of bandits robbing Wells Fargo stagecoaches and ghosts of that... More
