My actual business was not there but nearby. Spanish architecture is wonderful. Stop by for a few minutes or spend an hour. If you have to be in court.....go here.

With beautiful views of the city from the clock tower, and the remarkable paintings in the Mural Room, this is a must see for any visitor.

The working Superior Courthouse has around 8 Courtrooms, but is open to visitors throughout the day. Well worth the visit, if only to climb the 4 stories (working elevator is wanted) to get a 360deg view of the city.

Climb to the top of the clock tower and get a 360 degree view of Santa Barbara. Stop in the main court room and gather up interesting history. Beautiful grounds and courtyard.

Lots of history. Top of the tower is awesome. There is an elevator and a few steep step at the very top.

Full of couples getting married on a late Friday afternoon. Great structure built in the 1920s with lots of spanish style. Tower can be accessed by elevator! Near State Street and nearly free public parking structure. Very nice gardens too.

We did not get here in time for the view we had heard about but the outside architectural details were lovely. It is always such a pleasure to see communities taking pride in their community buildings and taking good care of them. I enjoyed that...More

I can't remember for sure, but since it is a public building in use every day as a courthouse I am pretty sure it opens at least by 9 am.
