What a find! This is a serious art museum. When you enter you see a Rodin sculpture. That is a good sign. Then you see Warhol, Picasso, Matisse, Monet, Hopper, etc...impressive works by the world's greatest artists. It is very impressive.

Much of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art is closed while a massive enlargement process is underway, but that makes it just the right size for a short visit. Besides two or three short-term exhibitions, it features outstanding works from its permanent collection.

While some of the museum is under some construction, we still throughly enjoyed our first visit. We took a free tour and Micky gave us a whole new perspective on some of the different exhibits. What a gem in SB!!
