Great place to walk and get away from the crowds if you so desire. Public Bathrooms have improved. Snack bar if needed! Crowded by the parking lot, but walk a ways down and you'll practically have the place to yourself.

Long waiting time but you can take a walk on the beach. Admire the ocean and the people and enjoy life.

Arroyo Burro County Beach Park offers a beautiful beach which is both dog and kid friendly. There is a part of beach which is leash-free for dog and other part is great for kids. There were couple of kindergarten groups enjoying their day there. Also...More

Want your pup to run free, off leash and have a great time? This is the place to be! Visited for a few hours and couldn't be happier. Clean beach, lots of doggies and the water was comfy and cool on a hot day.

Dogs to the left and people to the right. Actually dogs can go right if on a leash, left is the off-leash area. This beach gets crowded; lots of dogs, walkers, families and folks just enjoying the restaurant. Try to come on a weekday for...More

Take your time. Parking can be a big problem but somehow we usually manage it. There is side, dirt parking lot but even that gets filled up. Why? Because it's the best beach - you can walk for miles. Dogs welcome -- and on left...More

Took our Aussie to this beach a couple of days while we stayed in Santa Barbara, and I think it's the happiest I've ever seen her! We came at non-peak times (noon on a Tuesday, 9am on a Thursday), and parking wasn't bad either day....More

Locals hidden hangout, dog & surfer friendly. Downtown yet off the beaten track. Locals call it Hendrey's (Henry's) Beach.Great waves plus a lovely beachside restaurant where you can get a drink inside and watch the kids playing outside on the sand.
