Great vibe and a cool place to just hang out and enjoy Santa Barbara. Heaps of trendy and non trendy shops and places to eat. Great starting point for a tourist.

State street is long and houses a good mixture of chain stores, local boutiques, restaurants and bars. It's a great way to kill an afternoon and get those steps in!

Interesting shopping area. Nice place to get a cup of coffee or a frozen yogurt. Some good surf shops.

I was especially wanting to find a bookstore and I finally did… It seems that the two major bookstores in town closed… One left… There are all sorts of restaurants… From college student hangouts to good Italian food… Fabulous O’Connell ice cream shop… Don’t know...More

Hmmm I would say yes if you are up for a good hike I am not certain where that ship would come in better to check with the ship line when you arrive
